Mesr and Aroosan deserts are among the most attractive Iranian deserts for sand lovers, the peace here is beyond understanding! Deserts have covered 60 percent of Iran's area. Iran deserts, including Lut and central desert, have specific geological features and the diversity of these deserts can fulfill travelers of various tastes. Walking on the golden sand dunes and feeling its warmth between your toes during the day would probably be one of the most amazing things you can experience here! If you are looking for the experience of exploring Iran deserts, sleeping under a sky you have never seen before, you can set up your own tent and stay overnight in this desert.
Mesr desert is so beautiful that you can spend long days in it comfortably and still be enthusiastic to see more beauties. Golden sand dunes are the most spectacular part of Mesr desert. Standing at one point and watch the golden sands as far as the eye can see is a great joy you can experience just in the desert. But it is not enough to see, the sands of this area are so soft and smooth that you have to take off your shoes and walk barefoot on these sands. Touching the warm, smooth sand with your fingertips will be one of the most memorable experiences you have ever had.
Motorcycling and camel riding are among the adventure experiences of this region. We suggest that if you go to the village of Mesr, do not spend all your time there, a few kilometers beyond the beautiful village is another village called Aroosan, where the sky and star lovers can spend nights to enjoy the peaceful silence of desert under the sky.
Mesr and Aroosan Deserts are located in Isfahan province, 45 Kms from Jandagh city. You may either drive or travel on a tour to get to this desert.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at airport and continue to hotel
Day 2: Have breakfast, Tehran city tour includes: Golestan palace, National garden, National museum and Tabiat bridge at evening, have lunch and dinner in the best restaurants of the City
Day 3 : Have breakfast, continue to Kashan (244 km, 02:30), visit Fin garden and have lunch, continue to Abyaneh village and after a long visit transfer to Matinabad (56 km, 01:00), overnight in Eco desert camp under starry sky
Day 4 : Have breakfast, continue to Khur (415 km, 04:30), stop en route in Naein and visit jameh mosque and Pirnia traditional house, have lunch and continue to Khur city.
Day 5 : Have breakfast, continue to Aroosan village (55 km, 01:00), desert walking to village and stop en route for having lunch and walking to camp desert base.
Activity: 6 hours of walking in desert with support vehicles.
Day 6 : Have breakfast, walk to Aroosan village and after 5 hours of walking to Aroosan and have lunch, walk around the desert oasis. Transfer to Khur village and overnight in our nice local house
Day 7 : Have breakfast, continue to Maybod (243 km, 03:30), visit Dovecote (They generally contain pigeonholes for the birds to nest) and have lunch, continue to Yazd (55 km, 01:00)
Day 8 : Have breakfast, Yazd city tour includes: Zurkhaneh (traditional heroic sport in Iran) and knowing about traditional sports in Iran, visit Jameh mosque and have lunch, walking in Dowlat abad garden in the evening, visit Amirchakhmagh complex and bazaar, have dinner
Day 9 : Have breakfast, continue to Abarkuh (155 km, 01:30), visit Aghazadeh historical house and have lunch and continue to Marvdasht (177 km, 02:00), visit Pasargadae and continue to Marvdasht (65 km, 00:45)
Day 10 : Have breakfast, visit Persepolis and continue to Shiraz (70 km, 01:00), visit Karimkhan citadel, Vakil complex and Shahcheragh shrine (exterior view)
Day 11 : Have breakfast, Shiraz city tour includes: Narenjestan garden, Nasir-ol molk mosque, have lunch, visit tomb of Hafez and Eram garden, return to accommodation and transfer to hotel for departure
